Istanbul, Turkey. In the main fight of the evening for the vacant WBC Asian title, a local ex-super middleweight contender (up to 76.2 kg) fought Avni Yildirim (24-5, 13 KO) and age German
Yusuf Kanguel (21-5-1, 14 KOs). Underdog celebrated a sensational early victory.

Yıldırım started the fight indistinctly. I gave the opponent the starting rounds and managed to visit the canvas. In the 4th round, the favorite seemed to seize the initiative and even won back the knockdown. By inertia, Yıldırım took another round to his credit, and then suddenly gave up the initiative again.

In the 8th three-minute period, the ex-contender’s affairs worsened – he was in the second knockdown, he looked unimportant, barely reached the gong, but never recovered during the break. Kanguel put the squeeze on and appetnul “Mr. Robot”. We have a sensation!

Yusuf Kanguel (21-5-1) batters Avni Yildrim (24-5) scoring knockdowns in the 3rd, 8th & 9th – while down himself in the 4th – to score a shocking TKO-9 victory in a fantastic super middleweight rematch from Istanbul Turkey pic.twitter.com/wWX3z2mZKU

Canguel TKO 9.

PS: it was a rematch. In November, Yildirim won by decision.

The opening act was the winner of the European Games, who plays for France, a native of Russia, a heavyweight (over 90.7 kg)
Murad Aliyev (4-0, 2 KOs) – beat
Mirko Tintora (16-6-1, 9 KOs) from Bosnia.

Aliyev knocked down his opponent several times. A minute before the end of the 2nd round, the referee stopped a senseless one-sided beating.
