Despite Dana White’s recent announcement that Jon Jones would not make his heavyweight debut until next spring, the former UFC light heavyweight champion claims he will return to the octagon on December 10 at UFC 282 in Las Vegas.
“I’m getting ready to fight Stipe on December 10 in Las Vegas,” the American wrote on the social network. “I don’t quite understand what is going on between Stipe and the UFC, but I am ready to compete! I control what I can and stay in shape.”
At the moment, the main event of the UFC 282 tournament has announced a title rematch in the light heavyweight category between Jiri Prohazka and Glover Teixeira, and if Jon Jones still meets with Stipe Miocic in December, most likely they will play for an interim heavyweight championship belt.
