UFC heavyweight representative Walt Harris, who received a twelve-month suspension last year for using drostanolone, will not be able to continue his career until 2027 at the earliest.
The significant increase in the suspension, which will last a total of four years, was prompted by a second failed doping test, which revealed that the American fighter had re-injected the banned substance already after failing the test the first time.
The heavyweight will be eligible to resume his career on July 11, 2027.
Note that in 2019 Walt Harris tested positive for a substance called LGD4033, a member of the selective androgen receptor modulators (SARM) family, to which the better known ostarine belongs. The fighter then managed to avoid disqualification on the grounds that the banned substance was in a legal sports supplement.
The 40-year-old Walt Harris last stepped into the octagon in June 2021, losing by first-round technical knockout to Marcin Tybura.
