Heck of a Morning: Aljamain Sterling vs. Sean O’Malley the fight to make after UFC 280 — not Henry Cejudo

No matter how you scored it personally, Sean O’Malley defeated Petr Yan at UFC 280 — which as Dana White said before this past Saturday’s card, should earn him a title shot against fellow main card winner and champ Aljamain Sterling. Henry Cejudo, a former champion who is now non-retired, has apparently joined the chat. But does that make sense?

Heck of a Morning’s Mike Heck discusses the situation with the bantamweight titles and explains why he thinks O’Malley should fight Sterling. He also explains why Cejudo should push for the fight. Additionally, listener questions include UFC 280 reaction as a whole, Islam Makhachev’s dominant title win over Charles Oliveira in the main event and a potential fight with featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski, Beneil Dariush and Belal Muhammad’s big wins and where they could go from here, and much more.

You can listen live to Heck of a Morning Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 a.m. ET at the MMA Fighting Twitter Spaces.

If you miss it live, audio-only versions of the podcast can be found below, on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, and wherever you find your favorite podcasts.
