Centro de Usos Multiples, Hermosillo, Mexico. In the main event of the evening in the limit of the second flyweight (up to 52.2 kg), ex-world champions met: the age-old Luis Concepción (40-10, 29 KOs) from Panama very controversially lost to the Mexican Hernan Marquez (47-10-2, 33 KOs ).

Before that, the fighters had already crossed paths three times: in 2015, Concepción won by decision of the judges (for the title of interim champion), and in 2011 he lost twice ahead of schedule (both title bouts). The first bout was a nominee in the Fight of the Year category.

It was felt that the veterans had long passed their career peak. But both did their best and gave the audience a hard mahach. It’s a shame that the judges let them down – they gave the victory to the local fighter, although the guest was clearly stronger: 96-94, 93-96 and 95-94.

Let’s pay tribute to the Mexican fans who booed the decision, despite the fact that the victory went to a local fighter.

Marquez SD 10.

Parx Casino, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA. In the main event of the show, in the heavyweight limit (over 90.7 kg), local bellies met: gatekeeper Joey Daweiko (23-10-4, 13 KOs) passed the persistent journiman not without problems
Terrell Jamal Woods (28-54-9, 20 KOs).

The fight went the full distance as expected. The score of the judges: 58-56 and twice 59-54.

Dawejko UD 6.
