Former two-time world champion American Sean Porter often reminds fans that in 2006 in Chicago (USA) he defeated the current unified heavyweight champion Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) according to amateur boxing rules.
On August 20, in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Usyk will face British Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) in a rematch. The first fight between them took place in September last year in London (England), ended with the victory of the Ukrainian by the decision of the judges.
Porter shared his opinion: What are Joshua’s main problems? First, he tried to box skillfully, because of which he had to restrain his attacking pressure. And this, in turn, led to the fact that he was unable to take advantage of the anthropometry and power. Secondly, he was too afraid to miss. Therefore, I believe that in order to win, he needs to balance these three things: attack, not be afraid of oncoming strikes, use dimensions. That’s all”.
Porter believes that with Robert Garcia in the corner, professing aggressive power boxing, Joshua will beat Usyk.
Yesterday, Amir Khan said that Usyk gained 15 kg. And he also praised the Ukrainian. And promoter Frank Warren said that the Ukrainian would beat Joshua and then lose to Fury.
