The fight between Jamal Hill and Jiri Prochazka is in development for August

A light heavyweight title fight between reigning UFC champion Jamal Hill and former belt holder Jiri Prochazka could take place on August 19 at UFC 292 in Boston.

An American fighter announced this in an interview with MMA Junkie.

“I heard that the fight will take place in August – I hope everything works out and we will get a contract soon,” Hill said. “I’m not going to wait any longer, I know that for sure”

In June last year, Jiri Prochazka took the UFC light heavyweight title from Glover Teixeira, finishing the Brazilian with a rear naked choke with 28 seconds left in the fifth round, and in December, the Czech fighter was injured and dropped out of an immediate rematch, vacating the belt.

As a result, the owner of the vacant title was Jamal Hill, who defeated Glover Teixeira by unanimous decision in January of this year.
