Jason Jackson named the reason for the defeat of Yaroslav Amosov

Jamaican-born Jason Jackson, who destroyed previously undefeated Yaroslav Amosov last weekend, doesn’t think the Ukrainian fighter’s defeat was due to underestimating his opponent.

“No, I don’t think he underestimated me – he was just afraid of me,” said the new Bellator welterweight champion. “Before the fight he was trying to be friendly, but at the press conference I said I’m not going to laugh and play these friendly games. I’m coming to fight you.”

“Besides, he lacked stamina and hunger. I was hungry and ready to fight to the end. I’m a versatile and athletic fighter who can do everything. I’m explosive and can punch hard. I’m also a smart fighter, so I kept my composure and did what I had to do”

Recall that the title fight between Yaroslav Amosov and Jason Jackson, which headlined Bellator 301 in Chicago on Nov. 17, ended at the 2:08 mark of the third round with the Ukrainian losing by technical knockout. With the victory, Jackson won his seventh consecutive fight at Bellator, while Amosov suffered his first defeat in twenty-eight professional matches.
