Jan Blachowicz Reveals Plan to Fight Alex Pereira

Contrary to popular belief, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz is not going to use his wrestling skills in his upcoming fight with Brazilian Alex Pereira.

“His entire fighting career is simply amazing,” the Polish fighter said in the next edition of the MMA Hour program. “I like to fight with such fighters, because you don’t need to look for motivation for this. That’s why I wanted this fight.”

“I want to check my stance, and I want to check his stance. I want to see how I will look in a duel with one of the best strikers in the world. That’s what I want to know – how my striking technique will look like against him.”

Recall that the fight between Jan Blachowicz and Alex Pereira will take place on July 29 at UFC 291 in Salt Lake City, and for the Brazilian, who lost the UFC middleweight title in the previous fight, this will be his debut performance in the light heavyweight division.
