Once beaten, and even then controversially, American Jermaine Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs) will become the next opponent of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) in his comeback fight. It seems that this is the conclusion that suggests itself from the latest interviews with promoter Eddie Hearn.
29-year-old Franklin controversially lost his last fight to Dillian Whyte in late autumn 2022, and the British comeback is scheduled for April 1 at O2 Arena in London (England).
“Yes, I think there’s a very good chance it could be Franklin,” Hearn said.
