Former UFC lightweight title challenger Diego Sanchez will make his bare-knuckle debut against former world middleweight boxing champion Austin Trout.
This will happen at the Knuckemania 3 tournament from Bare Knuckle FC promotion, which will be held on February 17 in Albuquerque (USA). Note that this fight became known back in November last year, but only the day before Sanchez received a medical clearance from the New Mexico State Commission.

41-year-old Sanchez during his performances in the UFC held 32 fights, in which he won 19 victories and suffered 13 losses. He said goodbye to the organization in 2021, shortly after turning down an offer to fight former training partner Donald Cerrone.
Diego’s last fight was in March last year under the banner of Eagle FC, losing on points to Kevin Lee.
The 37-year-old Trout, for whom this fight will also be his debut in the BKFC, has fought 42 professional fights, at the moment his record in boxing is 36-5-1 (18 KOs). He held the WBA title in 2011-12 until losing it to future Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez in early 2013 by a close decision on points. At the same time, a little earlier, Trout defeated the star Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.
