“Dead zone”. Warren told why fighters began to leave Hearn

Influential British promoter Frank Warren is sure he knows why boxers have recently been leaving the promotional company Matchroom Boxing, which is run by his compatriot rival Eddie Hearn.

According to Warren, the whole point is Hearn’s termination of cooperation with the Sky Sports television network, because DAZN, to which Eddie remained faithful, has a much smaller audience reach.

Boxers allegedly do not like this – so Lawrence Okoli, Liam Smith and Joseph Parker left Hearn in search of a better life.

“All I see is the continued withdrawal of fighters from Matchroom. And there is a reason for this – they do not get the desired coverage. You go to the “dead zone” (pun: Dead Zone = DAZN), where they don’t see you, ”said Warren.

“Do you know how many young guys go on stage and how many of them disappear over the years? This business is about longevity, as well as how to deal with bad times that are replaced by good ones, ”Frank emphasized philosophically.

Meanwhile, Warren himself took on the 18-year-old heavyweight, who beat Zelensky in the fall.
