Coach Ghana: “I’m sick of the conflict with Ngannou. I don’t want to drag this story out anymore.”

Coach Cyril Gan and ex-coach Francis Ngannou Fernand Lopez said that he refuses to continue the conflict history with his former fighter.

“You journalists want to ask my opinion about Francis again and drag me into trouble. I am a father who has two sons, and asking how one is better than the other … They are both good fighters, the best in the world. I don’t want to say things anymore that will make me look offended and annoyed.

I’m sick of this story with Francis, I’m tired and I can no longer pull it, – Lopez said in an interview with Submission Radio. “It’s hard to be sincere now, because if you say what you think, you will have problems. And I’m tired of these problems. You’re interviewing me, we can talk about sports, golf, whatever, but I know your goal is to reach out to clicks. I absolutely understand this, but the people who listen to these interviews do not understand. They think that I myself call the journalists and say: “Can you ask me again about Francis?”

And what happens after my interviews? You choose my toughest phrase, the very best, and put it in the title. And what happens next? I’m to blame again and again and again and again. I don’t blame you, it’s your job. As a manager, not only as a coach, I understand that my job is to help my fighter earn as much money as possible. And if it takes being sincere to sell PPV, I’ll be sincere. But again, I don’t want to look like an ex-wife who can’t let go of the situation. Am I ready to shake hands with Francis after the fight? I am open to it. I will never be able to work with him again, but we must be gentlemen to each other, be polite.”

On January 22, Gan will face Ngannou in the main event of the evening at UFC 270 in Anaheim.
