Chris Weidman Thinks of Retiring After His Horrible Broken Leg

The fighter suffered the worst injury in his career

Former UFC middleweight champion American Chris Weidman spoke about a possible retirement after losing to Urijah Hall.

Recall that on April 24, Weidman suffered a terrible leg fracture at UFC 261.

“I don’t know what’s next for me. My leg is still numb. I hope that everything will work out and I will be able to move like before the fight. I’ve had 23 surgeries throughout my life and that hasn’t stopped me, but will I have the motivation and passion to go through this long rehabilitation process again? It’s very scary. I don’t know what’s next.

I just don’t want this to be the end. I feel like I still have the strength to fight. It is just necessary that the recovery is not long, and very soon I remembered all this as one of the stories in my life. If I have to retire, then I might break. I just can’t show my kids how good I am at certain things and that they have a lot to learn from me. This is the hardest part,” Weidman said.
