Paradise City Plaza, Incheon, South Korea. In the main event of the show, the conqueror of three weight categories, Filipino Jonriel Casimero (31-4, 21 KOs) began his ascent to the fourth – he fought in the second bantamweight limit (up to 55.3 kg).

But things didn’t go according to plan. The favorite could well lose by disqualification in a fight with two-time ex-applicant from Japan Ryo Akaho (39-2-2, 26 KOs).

The soldiers looked at each other. Both made bets on rapid assaults. Akaho disturbed the body of the ex-champion, he traditionally tried to cut down with a sweeping left hook.

Passions escalated to the limit in the 2nd three-minute period. In one of the attacks, Casimero missed and ended up on the canvas. The referee decided to open an account. The Filipino immediately rushed to win back the episode, hit with a left hook, shocked his opponent. Akaho survived, rubbing his back against the ropes of the ring. But the ex-champion wound up and in the heat of the fight began to beat the opponent on the back of the head.

When the referee finally intervened (he worked very indistinctly), the Japanese demanded time to recover, and later refused to continue at all. The third in the ring consulted with (presumably) representatives of the athletic commission, after which it was decided to declare the fight invalid.

At the warm-up, the age-old Mexican ex-world champion Johnny Gonzalez (69-12-1, 56 KOs) lost to the Japanese Takuya Watanabe (39-11-1, 22 KOs).

The fight turned out to be tough and competitive, went the whole distance. One judge decided that the most fair outcome would be a draw (95-95), but the rest were against – 97-93 and 96-94 in favor of the underdog.
