April 1st O2 Arena in London (England), local ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) will resume performances after two consecutive defeats from Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) – he will fight with American Jermain Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs).
Former world champion in the division below Tony Bellew shared his opinion about the fight: “AJ is returning after two defeats in a row. So now we have certain expectations from his comeback – we want a bright performance and a beautiful knockout. I think this is how it will happen. Joshua lost to Usyk, the coolest cruiser I’ve ever seen. And now, at this stage in his career, Anthony needs to come back the way he does best – a dude who knocks out opponents. Yes, I think he will win by knockout on April 1st.”
Bellew believes that “the upcoming fight is defining in Joshua’s career. And it cannot be compared with the duel against Usyk. After all, when you fight with the strongest in the world, sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose – this is normal. But when you fight fighters like Franklin, you have to grind the opponent to powder, you have to blow his head off.
The other day David Haye shared his expectations from the fight Joshua vs Franklin. And a little later, the underdog began to harshly threaten Anthony in the spirit of Wilder.
