Toyota Arena, Ontario, California, USA. American top welterweight prospect (up to 66.7 kg)
Trevon Marshall (8-0, 7 KOs) rapidly increased the level of opposition. He made a wild fight and knocked out compatriot Justin Delouch (19-6, 10 KOs).

Underdog is handsome. Realizing that the opponent had very little experience, he immediately aggressively threw at him, provoking a nice fight. The prospect missed a lot, but in the 2nd round he found weakness in Deloach – he did a good job on the body.

In the 3rd three-minute period, Marshall threw a multi-hit combination, and Delouch unsuccessfully tried to intercept – he blundered a blow, flattened himself on the canvas. The underdog got to his feet, but could not continue the fight – the referee stopped the fight.

Beauty!

Marshall TKO 3.

In super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg), left-hander from Georgia Enrico Gogokhia (13-1-2, 8 KOs) suffered his debut defeat in profiring. Lost to Liberian native Samuel Thea (19-4-1, 8 KOs).

Gogokhia was on the floor in the opening round. A controversial episode, but the referee recorded a knockdown.

Could Samuel Teah’s first-round knockdown be the difference our eight-round prelims opener?

Tea spent the first half of the fight as a counterpuncher, and then slightly pushed. The judges gave him a well-deserved victory: 78-73, 78-73 and 79-72.

We have a small apset.

Thea UD 8.
