Zhalgas Zhumagulov will continue his career in the UFC

A week after announcing his resignation, Kazakh fighter Zhalgas Zhumagulov announced that he would continue his professional career.

“Friends, thank you all for always supporting – thank you!” Zhumagulov said on social networks. “I don’t finish my career in the UFC. There are minor injuries and bruises – I will heal and I will fight on.”

Last week, Zhalgas Zhumagulov suffered his third defeat in a row, losing a split decision to Charles Johnson at UFC Fight Night 215 in Las Vegas.

Under his current contract with the organization, the former Fight Nights Global flyweight champion has one fight left in the UFC.

Making his UFC debut in July 2020, 34-year-old Zhalgas Zhumagulov has fought six fights in the organization, scoring one win and five losses. Before the fight with Johnson, Zhumagulov lost by technical knockout to Manel Capa and a split decision to Jeff Molina.
