Yevloyev reacted to Topuria’s promise to knockout Volkanovski

UFC featherweight division number five Movsar Yevloyev commented on the statement of official title challenger Elijah Topuria, who promised to knock out current division champion Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.

“Everyone has a plan until they get kicked in the teeth,” the Russian wrote on social media, quoting the Spanish-Georgian fighter’s statement.

Yevloyev also made it clear that he expects to next get a title shot and face the winner of the championship bout headlining UFC 298 in Anaheim on Feb. 17.

“Whether you like it or not, I will soon become the undefeated and undisputed UFC featherweight champion,” he added.

Movsar Yevloev, 29, knows no defeats and is riding an eight-fight win streak in the UFC, winning a unanimous decision over Britain’s Arnold Allen in his last fight.
