Would easily beat Canelo Alvarez – a rising star from Kazakhstan

Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs) from Kazakhstan, the WBO middleweight champion (up to 72.6 kg), has no doubt that he would have easily defeated Mexican superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs), who owns the title of absolute champion by weight higher, at 76.2 kg.

However, Alimkhanuly does not particularly hope to confirm the words with deeds, since he sees no reason for Alvarez to accept such a challenge.

“Easy job! – Zhanibek categorically answered the question whether he would have won Canelo if they had met in the ring. But he won’t fight me. Why should he fight the strongest middleweight in the world? I’m at my peak right now, and he’s not at his best anymore.”

Recall that on September 17, Alvarez defended all four prestigious champion belts of the super middleweight division, defeating the legend of Kazakhstan and world boxing Gennady Golovkin in the trilogy.

Alimkhanuly, who received his title without a fight, will hold his first defense on November 12 against Briton Denzel Bentley.
