Will Joyce beat Usyk, Fury, Joshua and Wilder? Bashir comments

Former coach of the current unified heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) James Ali Bashir gave
interview for the British blog.

In a conversation, the American specialist expressed his thoughts about the possible fights of the “interim” WBO champion from Britain Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) against Usyk, as well as the WBC British champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), the former champion from the USA Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) and ex-champion from Britain Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

Tell us about the fight between Joseph Parker and Joe Joyce.

Joe looks like George Foreman. He takes some decent hits and keeps going forward. Guy with heavy hands. I believe that Joyce is now in a unique position to win the division.

– How will he fight Usyk today?

“I tell you, a Joyce who beat Joseph Parker would be hard to beat for anyone, including Usyk. You can box, dodge, dodge – but damn, the guy puts a lot of pressure on who he’s in the ring with. He doesn’t get tired, he keeps going forward. He takes good punches and that’s the most important thing, that he takes those punches. This is a difficult fighter for anyone, including Usyk, even Tyson Fury. I think Joe Joyce is on his way to number one for the championship. He is a fairly tough heavyweight boxer. He is very dangerous.

  • Joyce will run over Usyk and beat Fury. David Allen appreciated the prospects of the Juggernaut

– Your former boxer Alexander Usik, how will he fight the current Joe Joyce, not the one he defeated in amateurs?

— I really don’t know, but Joyce, whom I saw with Parker, will be a very difficult task for Oleksandr Usyk. Very formidable. I just don’t see how Usyk can contain it. The most powerful two-handed puncher, methodical, his concentration is beyond calculation. He’s really a good fighter. He is now in an ideal position in the heavyweight division.

– Joshua says he stopped him in the amateurs and can knock him out in 1 round.

Styles make fights. I would love to see a fight between Joyce and Joshua because Joshua is a heavy-handed guy. I don’t know about his ability to take punches like Joyce does. Joyce takes a lot of hits. By the way, this won’t last forever. One day this will end. I’ve seen this before in boxing. You can hold, hold, and then suddenly you can’t. The ability to restore physical strength will go away.

— Deontay Wilder. I think he should avoid fighting Wilder. Wilder is a fast one punch puncher.

“I would love to see Wilder vs Joyce. It’s a celebration of the punchers.

— OK, Joe Joyce vs Tyson Fury?

– Good fight. Good fight, but I think Joyce will beat him.

– Wow.

“I think he will beat Tyson Fury.

Previously, Joyce volunteered to come on as a substitute on December 17 – not with Fury, but with Joshua.
