Wilder will return to the tops, he is stronger than people think – ex-sparring Deontay

28-year-old British heavyweight Isaac Chamberlain is confident that former heavyweight world champion American Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs), whom he knows personally through joint training and sparring sessions, will not only resume his career, but will be able to return to the top level.

“A million percent that it will. Boxing needs these characters and it will return,” says Chamberlain. “He’s powerful, very powerful. I remember we sparring in the US when I was 19 and he gave me an uppercut… I thought I flew back to London.”

“He’s a tough puncher. People always say it’s about his power. But it’s not. It’s about his speed,” Isaac elaborates. “He is very fast on target. People do not understand this and think that he is just a savage. No, he only goes wild after he sees you’re shocked. It sticks to the basics very well, it’s very, very sharp. He’s a lot better than people think.”

Recall that Wilder has not boxed since last October, when he was stopped in the 11th round by Tyson Fury. The latter here told how frightened after that.

A few days ago, Wilder’s manager confirmed a comeback, not ruling out a fight with Usyk or Joshua.
