The American ex-world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) does not understand why Briton Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) should fight his compatriot Dillian Whyte (29-3, 19 KOs) ), which in recent fights does not shine if Wilder and Joshua can fight right away, without any intermediate stages.
Deontay’s manager, Shelly Finkel, shared his thoughts on this matter. He offers to make a deal for the Wilder-Joshua fight even if Anthony still decides to fight White next.
“If you say you want to have another fight before you fight us, then let’s put it on paper,” says Finkel. Hearn said that Joshua would fight Deontem after their next fight with someone out there, but why? They want a fight with Dillian Whyte, who won in a dispute last Saturday and has been knocked out twice in his previous three fights. How will the media and others justify Joshua’s fight with such an opponent? And if they say “we will definitely fight Deontay after this”, then why not make a deal right now? Wilder, Shelley Finkel and PBC are open to Deontay next fight against Joshua.”
We will remind, earlier Wilder officially accepted the challenge of Joshua.
Meanwhile, Joshua is allegedly ready to fight Wilder even in March.
