Probably, everyone has already noticed that the Australian ex-world champion in lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) George Kambosos (20-1, 11 KOs), unlike the first fight, when he used every opportunity to verbally walk on his opponent, before the rematch with American Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) prefers to remain silent.
Devin believes that Kambosos does this on purpose, aiming not to wake up famously. Or maybe when you find out that you are going quieter, you will continue. Or he simply decided not to say “gop” before he tries to overcome this obstacle that did not succumb the first time.
“It seems to me that this is part of his strategy to remain silent. He just doesn’t want to give me extra motivation, Haney suggests. “But the great ones find motivation by any means. I will go out and beat him, whether he speaks or is silent.”
Recall that in early June in Australia, Haney defeated Kambosos on points. The second fight will take place on October 16 again in George’s homeland.
