Who will win Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez? Barbosa called the main factor

Undefeated super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg) from the USA, 31-year-old Arnold Barbosa Jr. (28-0, 10 KOs) started 2023 on a big positive note, scoring his most significant victory so far. In early February, he outboxed the ex-world champion in two categories of Puerto Rican Jose Pedraza by unanimous decision in 10 rounds.

Barbosa is not going to stop there and wants to fight the winner of the fight between WBO champion British Josh Taylor (19-0, 13 KOs) and ex-lightweight champion American Teofimo Lopez (18-1, 13 KOs), who had previously agreed to fight June 10 in New York.

“Of course, I would love to meet the winner. I want the winner of this fight or any other champion or any big name at 63.5kg,” he said.

Barbosa also shared a rational opinion about the favorite of the upcoming fight:

“I think if Taylor enters the ring absolutely healthy, that is, the same as he was against Jose Ramirez and Regis Prograis, then he will win the fight against Lopez. But I heard that he is not 100 percent healthy, and under such circumstances, I believe Teofimo will have an advantage.”

And here is the forecast and detailed analysis of the Taylor-Lopez fight from Prograis.
