White’s opponent named, heavy hitter opening act, Wallin hinted at fight with Joshua

A small heavyweight digest.

– Looks like November 26th on OVO Arena in London (England), local ex-champion Dillian Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) will fight against unbeaten American Jermaine Franklin (21-0, 14 KOs) from the USA. He indirectly confirmed the rumors.

According to
sourceWhite claimed a fight for the WBA World title with compatriot Daniel Dubois, but requested an unbearable (according to the organizers) fee – 3 million pounds.

– The same resource reports that an entertaining local brawl will take place at White’s opening act – the slugger Fabio Wardley (14-0, 13 KOs) and the pot-bellied techie Nathan Gorman (19-1, 13 KOs) will fight. The vacant British Championship belt will be at stake British Boxing Council (BBBC).

– Promoter Dmitry Salita (Salita Promotions)
claimsthat his client left-hander from Sweden Otto Wallin (24-1, 14 KOs) is one of the most likely opponents for ex-unified world champion British Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) – ready to fight in December.

According to a native of Odessa, he talked about this fight with promoter Joshua Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing) even after the rematch lost by the British to the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

– Even more confusion around the so-called bridgeweight – weight category, which was invented by the WBC.

The first and so far the only world champion Colombian Oscar Rivas (28-1, 19 KOs) still cannot make his debut defense of the belt. He was expected to fight Pole Lukasz Rozanski this month, but the fight was canceled (not for the first time) “due to various organizational problems.”

Rivas promoter Yvon Michel (GYM Promotions) now do not mind bringing his fighter with Hearn’s ward Croatian slugger Alen Babich (11-0, 10 KOs). The parties cannot agree, as each pulls the blanket over itself: Michelle wants to make a fight in Montreal (Canada), and Hearn is White’s opening act.

– In the meantime, Babich has another interesting option. The EBU offers the fighter to fight for the vacant European heavyweight belt with the German of Ghanaian origin Peter Kadiru (14-0, 7 KOs).

– Arslanbek Makhmudov (15-0, 14 KOs), who plays for Canada, a native of Russia, will have his next fight on December 16 at the arena Center Gervais Auto in Shawinigan (Canada). The name of the opponent is not reported.

Earlier there were strange rumors that Fury would fight Makhmudov. Tyson’s funny reaction. The Russian is slightly offended by the Briton for this and tells him: “You will recognize my name!” In September, Makhmudov barely took his feet from Usyk’s failed opponent.
