The fight exceeded all expectations. As expected, Jenkins immediately tried to arrange a mahach at close range.

McKenna used his legs a little more often, sometimes even confusing them with offsets, and shot from a distance. In which case, he looked good in the wheelhouse.

Jenkins’ non-stop pressing began to pay off in the second half of the fight. He seized the initiative, increasingly forcing the opponent to cycle and avoid the fight.
The judges decided that he did not reach the victory. Well, the fight is up to you. You can argue with the verdict: 96-95, 96-95 and 97-94.
McKenna UD 10.
At the warm-up in the super-middleweight limit (up to 76.2 kg), the Irishman Padraig McCrory (14-0, 8 KOs) and the age-old former challenger from Mexico Marco Antonio Periban (26-6-1, 17 KOs) fought.
Makrory immediately offered the highest pace of the fight, dropped the guest in the 2nd round. The episode turned out to be controversial – for a clear blow after the referee’s signal, he could fly in with a disqualification.

It seemed that Periban took aim a little – several times he responded well to McCrory’s attacks. But in the 5th round, the veteran hit the floor twice more, and then was beaten by the prospect to the referee’s go-ahead.

McCrory TKO 5. Impressive performance.
Also in the welterweight limit (up to 66.7 kg) Irish prospect
Paddy Donovan (9-0, 6 KOs) defeated the Englishman
Tom Hill (10-3, 2 KOs).
The fight turned out to be one-sided and unspectacular. Donovan frankly underworked, invested in all thrown punches. There was a strong lack of invention and especially combinational work. Alas, Hill had nothing to oppose the favorite.
Donovan PTS 8 (80-72).
