The holder of the IBF / WBO / WBA world heavyweight titles (over 90.7 kg) Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) gave
interview at WEB Summit in Lisbon.
At the international event, Oleksandr spoke about the practical implementation of the project for the charitable funds raised with his help, spoke about the constant bombing of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine by the fascist regime of the Russian Federation and the plight of the Ukrainian people. He also encouraged them to fight and love each other.
– Today there is a project that we are rebuilding in the village of Moshchun. From scratch in general. There are no houses. They were destroyed. We build them for the people. United24 is the ambassador we work with. Now my task is to help my country as much as possible.
Since the tenth day of the last month, every day, “shahids” of some kind, some kind of bombs, kamikazes and all that have been arriving in the cities of Ukraine. We have no light in the country. There is a lot of no light. That is, the aggressor simply mocks people. There is no light, no water, you can neither heat anything nor wash yourself. But the Ukrainian people are the light that shines on the whole world. [аплодисменты].
— Oleksandr, you, as the real voice of the Ukrainian victory, please charge us today, the entire audience, for victory.
– I will tell you some of my rules, with which I have been living for many years. This, of course, is my faith in God. Thanks to him for what I have and what I have. The next is my family: my wife and my children. They motivate me a lot. And when I wake up at 5 in the morning and go to see how they sleep, then when I go for a run or some kind of sports exercise, I smile. I saw the child sleeping – I smiled and went. I go to do hard work with a smile, with gratitude.
We succeed in life if we fight. Business, life, sports and everything else. If it is difficult for us, then we still step over this “difficult”, and go to the end with a smile, with joy. I do not complain about life and do not judge anyone. I try not to judge anyone for any of their actions. I just try to live the way I want and the way I see it. A lot of people will say: “You’re an athlete, you’re a boxer, you’re, like, tough and all that. I even beat my opponents with love and a smile. I don’t have some kind of predatory hatred or some kind of anger. I have it athletic Love each other, smile – and Glory to Ukraine [аплодисменты].
