WBO names Crawford’s next opponent

American WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) will make a mandatory title defense in his next fight. His opponent will be compatriot Alexis Rocha (22-1, 14 KOs) – the fight has already been booked by the WBO, the parties have 20 days to agree amicably and avoid promotional bidding.

Remember how Rocha knocked out Asha at the end of January? Immediately afterwards, he admitted that he wanted to fight Crawford. And the very next day, the promoter of the fighter Oscar De La Hoya offered Terence a contract and named possible opponents.

If it still comes to bidding (although this is highly unlikely), then 75% of the prize pool will go to the champion. The deadline is March 19th.

Crawford played for Top Rank Bob Arum. In the last fight held, he knocked out the Russian David Avanesyan – a priori, a loss-making show was organized by a newcomer to the promotion business BLK Prime.

On the sidelines, they claim that they are already β€œon the verge of exiting the boxing business.” The other day it became known that Adrien Broner canceled a multi-million dollar deal with BLK.
