ABU DIBI — Dana White is thrilled about Saturday’s UFC 280 events, particularly when it comes down to the main event between Charles Oliveira & Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title.
The UFC President joined MMA Fighting’s Jose Youngs prior to Friday’s UFC 280 ceremonial weigh-ins to preview the bout between Oliveira and Makhachev, Oliveira’s legacy with a win, his thoughts on Khabib Nurmagomedov potentially fighting Oliveira in the future if “Du Bronx” is successful, along with the bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and T.J. Dillashaw.
White also previews Sean O’Malley’s competition as he trains to fight Petr Yan. O’Malley is the potential benchmark fighter coming off Dana White’s Contender Series. O’Malley has fights in Metaverse and his new slap fighting division being approved by Nevada Athletic Commission. KhamzatChimaev and others have criticised it.
