Luque said this in an interview after the UFC on ESPN 51 event, in which he defeated Rafael Dos Anjos by unanimous decision in the main event.
“It’s an interesting fight and I would love to welcome Dustin Porier if he wants an opponent,” Luque said. “He said he wants to move up to welterweight, so who knows? We could do it.”
The UFC’s No. 3 ranked lightweight, Dustin Porier, suffered a loss in a challenger’s bout late last month, losing by second-round knockout to Justin Gaethje at UFC 291 in Salt Lake City.
A week after the loss, “Diamond” announced his intention to continue his career in the organization’s welterweight division.
