evaluates an opponent he knows firsthand.

– October 29 at MSG will be your next fight. We haven’t seen you for almost a year. What can we expect tonight? Nomaschenko, Hi-Tech, Matrix or Picasso of boxing?

— [усмехается] I’m just trying to show the best, show the best skills, the best style. I will show boxing who I am, why I am training like this, why I have been preparing for this moment for so long. I’m just trying to be professional. That’s all.

Are you looking forward to your return?

– Undoubtedly! Of course! Because this is another step towards my goal, my dream.

  • Vasily Lomachenko named his top 5 lightweight

Your opponent Jemaine Ortiz is undefeated, 16-0, 8 KOs. You sparred with him last year. What can you tell us about it?

“He is a very good boxer. I think it will be like an amateur fight because his style is very amateur. Not because he just started training, but because he does a lot of combinations, he throws a lot of punches, he’s fast, he’s strong, he moves well, he has a good sense of distance.

– Boxing IQ?

– May be. May be. May be. Now I can’t compare. I can compare after the fight. Because sparring cannot be compared. Sparring is different, but he is a good opponent for me, he is a good boxer and I think it will be very interesting as always. He is invincible and this is a good chance for me and for him. For me, this is a chance to get closer to my dream. That’s why it’s good for both of us.
