Vadim Nemkov explained what hinders negotiations with the UFC

Reigning Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov explained why, after winning the grand prix, he decided to sign a new contract with the organization, instead of trying his hand under the UFC banner.

“After the end of the Grand Prix, I had to fight one more fight under the contract with Bellator, and as long as I have a valid agreement, the UFC cannot contact me with a specific offer,” Nemkov said in an interview. Igor Lazorin. “They offered something, but it was less than in Bellator”

“The new contract with Bellator is for two years and four fights. It is necessary to work out this contract well so that there are all victories, and then it’s already to see who will offer how much and what. Money still matters a lot. We thought with Fedor, with the team, and decided to stay in Bellator”

Recall that Vadim Nemkov will defend his next title on June 16 at Bellator 297 in Chicago, and Cuban Yoel Romero will face the Russian.
