Usyk’s side confirms: ready for Fury for February

WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will be ready to fight WBC champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) early next year, or rather – in February. This was confirmed by the manager of the Ukrainian Egis Klimas.

“I hope everything works out. [с боем с Фьюри]and we will see him, he said
talkSPORT. “I heard that Fury wants to fight on December 3rd, which we have no big problems with. But, on the other hand, this is boxing, and everything happens, hand / foot injuries and the like. Let’s cross our fingers.”

“We’ll be ready [к бою в феврале]. For our part, we will be 100% ready, so if the battle does not happen, do not blame our team, ”Klimas warned.

Usyk went to the front

Klimas also revealed the potential venue for the fight – this is Saudi Arabiawhere Usyk’s last fight took place – a rematch against Anthony Joshua.

“I think that everything went very smoothly there and was very well organized, and we are ready to return there,” said the manager.

Note that Saudi Arabia often “abstains” from the UN General Assembly voting for resolutions on Russia’s war against Ukraine and on human rights in general. For example, Riyadh stood on the sidelines when
voted for the suspension of Russia’s membership in the Human Rights Council.

Wilder hopes for Usyk’s word

Meanwhile, if Fury doesn’t work out, Usyk wants to fight former WBC champion Deontay Wilder. He spoke about this before.

“This is a very possible fight,” Klimas said. “He actually called me and said, ‘If Fury is not available and we can’t fight Fury, I’d like to fight Wilder.’ I asked him why Deontay and he said, ‘Because he’s a risk taker, I like that.'”

Now it’s being decided who Tyson will fight on December 3 – with Joshua, Charr, or even spit on everything and start pouring beer hard on Christmas and New Year. Charr is outraged by this behavior.
