Usyk’s promoter: Fury is next if…

Oleksandr Krasyuk, promoter of the WBA / IBF / WBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), is confident that Briton Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will be his next opponent, who owns the WBC title. Well, almost sure.

Recall that on the night of August 20-21 in Saudi Arabia, Usyk successfully defended his titles for the first time, defeating Anthony Joshua on points in a rematch. Immediately after the fight, Alexander stated that he was only interested in a fight against Fury for the title of absolute division champion.

Shortly after that, Tyson got out into the information space and casually admitted that he was “not used to taking away belts from homeless people from Ukraine.”

“Tyson Fury is next if he’s strong enough to do it,” Krasyuk said. “I mean, if he’s strong enough for it mentally and physically.”

Commenting on the last fight, the functionary stated that “Usyk went through hell”, and that “you won’t see such fights every year – perhaps once a decade or a century.”

Krasyuk also spoke about the verdict of one of the judges, who gave the victory to Joshua with a score of 115-113: “I don’t know how to say this word in English so that it doesn’t sound rude. Let’s probably say “disgusting.”

Meanwhile, the bookmakers have already named the favorite of the possible Usyk-Fury fight.
