Usyk will marry not for himself, but for Ukraine. For the entire democratic world – Krasyuk

The promoter of IBF/WBO/WBA world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) said the fighter will try to use the interest of the entire boxing world in a rematch against Anthony Joshua to draw attention to helping Ukraine, which is rebuffing a full-scale Russian invasion occupiers.

“The statement that he can make to the public is an extraordinary opportunity, it should not be missed and left out of such an opportunity to address the whole world. It must be said that we need to unite around Ukraine, stop the war and allow all Ukrainians to return home safe and sound, ”
said Alexander Krasyuk.

According to him, Usyk understands that he is at an “exceptionally high level”, “the whole world will sit and watch this fight, and any message that he sends to the world will definitely be heard.”

“He won’t fight for himself,” the promoter continued. He will not marry for fame or fame. More precisely, he is not just fighting for his personal heritage, but for the whole country. For the entire democratic world.”

Usyk, who is currently training in Poland, is expected to face Joshua in a July 23 rematch in the Middle East.

Here is an interview with Krasyuk a year ago about the “hatred” of fans for Lomachenko and Usyk and Alexander’s claims. We also have an interview six years ago with Usyk himself.
