Usyk will beat Canelo just like Bivol did – ex-pounder

Former pound fighter, conqueror of two weight categories, American Brian Viloria believes that Mexican super middleweight Saul Canelo Alvarez (58-2-2, 38 KOs) should not look at heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) from Ukraine.

In May, Canelo tried to take the WBA Super title from Russian light heavyweight Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs), but lost by decision. The Mexican plans to meet his offender in a rematch and again spoke about the duel with Usyk.

Viloria
thinksthat this makes no sense: “I think that there will be exactly the same result as in the fight with Bivol. In my opinion, Canelo is better to stay close to middleweight.”

According to the ex-champion, in a rematch with Bivol, “Canelo, perhaps, will look a little better. But the result will remain the same. I bet on Bivol to win by decision. But at the same time, I still want to pay tribute to Alvarez. This is what attempts to cement their legacy in boxing history should look like. This is what a fighter looks like who does not avoid danger, does not hide from tough fighters. He only wants the most solid challenges. And I am sure that it is precisely due to this that he will go down in history – a fighter who was not afraid to take risks and fought with absolutely everyone.

Previously, Alvarez was thinking about conquering the cruiserweight. The WBC champion recalled this: “Canelo never showed up.” Meanwhile, promoter Eddie HearnMatchroom Boxing) voiced “Plan B” for Canelo – named 5 names.
