“Usyk sucks for me.” Whyte is ready to fight Joshua even at 60

Former opponent of ex-world heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) British Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) Dillian Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) gave interview popular sports journalist Gareth Davis.

In a conversation, White spoke about his desire for a rematch against Joshua, whom he lost ahead of schedule at the end of 2015. The former challenger from Britain also spoke about the unified champion from Ukraine Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs). The Briton has a high opinion of Alexander, but is very unhappy that the Ukrainian took away the titles from Joshua.

People want to see you fight Joshua, don’t they?

“I’m ready to fight Joshua even tomorrow. I’ll fight for less money.

Why Joshua?

“Because it’s a fight that makes you run faster, it’s better to diet. This is the fight that makes you go to bed at 7 o’clock.

– Is it a boast?

– Not. Wilder and Fury have their own. It’s a good fight whether it’s a loss, a draw or a win. Me and Joshua are the same. Look, he fought Usyk and kept talking about fighting me. Bruh, relax, focus on your fight because it’s a tough fight. May God bless you, you will be healthy, and then we can fight each other. I’m telling you, we just want to beat each other. I will fight Joshua even at 60. When we’re 60 and they call us, I’ll say, “I’m coming back to fight him.”

Are you hoping for a trilogy with him?

“I hope, I really do. But I don’t know what his psychological state is, how much he still wants to fight. He has already achieved a lot. He has a lot of finances, he made history, so who knows?

Were you very upset by his performance?

Yes, I was upset because I supported him. He’s also British. I support anyone from Britain, Ireland or Jamaica. I am connected with these countries. I want to see how my compatriots succeed. I know that the belts went to Ukraine. Usyk is a great fighter. But it sucks. For me personally, it sucks. He doesn’t really sell. Now he has gained fame for beating Joshua, but even now, after losing to Usyk, Joshua is still technically more attractive than him. So it just makes more sense for me to go after this than that.
