Usyk in the tropics: two photos of preparing for a rematch with Joshua

IBF, WBO and WBA world heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) from Ukraine remains in the Middle East, where he conducts the second stage of preparation for a rematch with ex-champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) from the United Kingdom.

The two will fight again on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, relatively close to where Usyk is now.

Yesterday, Alexander showed what his physical form is now. And here are the new “bicycle” pictures that his wife posted in stories.

As Usyk regains the pounds he lost in late February/early March, this is what Joshua looked like on June 13th.

Judging by the pictures, Usyk continues to stay in the Emirates, where, given the climate, you can successfully dry off and build up endurance. Meanwhile, on February 25, the UN Security Council voted for a resolution calling on Russia to stop its full-scale invasion of Ukraine; among those who abstained were the UAE.

In September last year, Usyk beat Joshua at his home and took away all the titles.
