Usyk-Fury fight is not in danger at the moment – Krasyuk

Despite the decision of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to oblige its heavyweight champion Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) to fight the obligatory challenger Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs) of Croatia, Usyk’s fight for the title of absolute champion against British Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) is not in danger at the moment.

In any case, this is what Alexander Krasyuk, the promoter of the Ukrainian, claims in a commentary for the British media.

“At this stage, I can expect that this will not affect the fight for the title of absolute champion in any way,” says Krasyuk. “We expect Usyk’s next fight to be for the absolute, so most likely it will take place in the Middle East.”

Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn answered the question of whether a delay from Hrgovic is possible.
