Usyk and Joshua’s rematch will have another belt at stake

At stake in the upcoming rematch of Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Briton Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will be not only world titles belonging to Alexander in the main WBA/IBF/WBO and secondary IBO versions.

Today it became known that boxers will also determine the new champion according to the magazine’s “Boxing Bible” The Ring.

Note that until today, the “magazine” belt belonged to Briton Tyson Fury. However, after he once again said goodbye to boxing and this time even informed the WBC about this, the editors decided to make his title vacant and immediately announced that the winner of the rematch scheduled for August 20 would become its next owner.

Previously, two Ukrainian boxers already owned The Ring heavyweight belt: in 2004-2005. Vitali Klitschko, and from 2009 to 2015 his younger brother Wladimir.

Meanwhile, Usyk completed preparations for a rematch with Joshua: a photo with sparring players and the team.
