Usman Nurmagomedov’s rival in the Bellator Grand Prix semi-final determined

Reigning Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov will next face former division champion Brent Primus, who defeated Mansour Barnaoui in the quarterfinals of the Bellator Lightweight Grand Prix at Bellator 296 in Paris.

The fight, which became the second most important event of the event, went the whole distance, following the results of five rounds of which the judges by unanimous decision with a score of 48-47 gave the victory to the American three times, who made several unsuccessful attempts to finish the Frenchman on the ground.

Recall that 25-year-old Usman Nurmagomedov took away the Bellator championship belt from Patricka Freire in November last year, defeating the Brazilian by unanimous decision, and in March of this year, the Russian successfully defended his title in the quarterfinals of the Grand Prix, finishing in the first round by rear naked choke of ex UFC and WEC Champion Benson Henderson.

All Bellator 296 results.
