Unification, which we have been asking for a long time – there is a battle date

The unification, which we have been dreaming of for the fourth year now, will finally take place!

On November 1, in Japan, local champions in the first flyweight (up to 49 kg) and the current division leaders Ken Shiro (19-1, 11 KOs) and Hiroto Kyoguchi (16-0, 11 KOs) will meet in a face-to-face fight. The first holds the WBC title, and the second is the WBA super champion.

Let’s fight!

But that’s not all! As part of the show, two more cool fights will take place.

WBO champion in the same weight Puerto Rican Jonathan Gonzalez (26-3-1, 14 KOs) will meet with one of the most talented Japanese prospects Shokichi Iwata (9-0, 6 KOs).

It is planned that the winners of the fights Shiro vs Kyoguchi and Gonzalez vs Iwata will determine the owner of the three belts next spring.

And the WBO flyweight champion (up to 50.8 kg) Japanese Junto Nakatani (23-0, 18 KOs) will also perform in the show. But this will not be a title defense, but a debut in the second flyweight limit (up to 52.2 kg).

Nakatani will face the tough Mexican ex-world champion Francisco Rodriguez (36-5-1, 25 KOs). With a high degree of probability, if he wins, Zunto will take advantage of the status of “super champion” and will seek a fight with compatriot Kazuto Yoka, who holds the WBO belt in 52.2 kg – he had previously voiced these plans.

In April, Nakatani scored Yamauchi, and in July there was a rematch of the legends: Yoka beat Nietes.
