“Deiveson Figueredo,” the Russian wrote on social media.
One fan asked in a comment on the post if Nurmagomedov wanted to face Jonathan Martinez, who is riding a six-fight win streak in the UFC.
“Anytime,” the fighter replied.
Earlier this month, Deiveson Figueredo won a unanimous decision over Rob Font in dominant fashion to move up to eighth in the lightweight rankings, while Jonathan Martinez finished Adrian Yaniz by TKO in October to move up to twelfth in the division.
Umar Nurmagomedov knows no defeats and is riding a four-fight win streak under the UFC banner, knocking out Brazilian Raoni Barcelos in the first round in his last fight. The Russian was scheduled to fight American Corey Sandhagen in August, which, in theory, could have been a contender fight for him, but Nurmagomedov suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery and withdrew from the bout.
