Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov made a statement after the first defeat in his career

Former Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov, who suffered the first defeat of his career against Jamaican-born Jason Jackson, thanked his fans for their support and also informed them that his health is not in danger.

“Thank you all for the support. My health is fine. I will be home soon,” Amosov wrote on social media.

The title fight headlining the Bellator 301 event in Chicago ended midway through the third round after Jackson stunned Amosov in a mid-range exchange before finishing the champion in the parterre. Prior to that, the challenger had successfully defended against his opponent’s passes and also dominated him in the standup.

Before losing the championship belt, 30-year-old Yaroslav Amosov won eight consecutive victories in Bellator, rising to the second line in the ranking of the best fighters of the organization regardless of weight category. In total, the Ukrainian has 27 professional victories, nineteen of which he won early.
