26-year-old from Kiev Karen Chukhadzhyan (21-1, 11 KOs) arrived in the United States at the end of last week to fight the main fight in his professional career at the moment – on the night of January 7-8 in Washington, the Ukrainian will challenge the vacant title of “interim” champion world according to the IBF welterweight (up to 66.7 kg) in the confrontation with the formidable American Jaron Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs).
Despite the status of an obvious underdog, Chukhyadzhyan has a positive attitude and promises at least a bright performance, and at most a loud upset.
“I didn’t come to the US just for a check. I’m here to have a great fight,” Karen said. – I want everyone to like my performance, because we do it for the audience. I plan to give a big surprise.”
Earlier, Ennis admitted that he wanted another opponent, and he also does not know if he will be able to knock out Chukhadzhyan.
