UFC Vegas Laura Sanko debuts UFC colour commentary

Longtime UFC broadcaster Laura Sanko has been named the official second female UFC color commentator.

The promotion announced that Sanko will make her UFC Vegas 68, debut cageside on Monday. This event takes place at UFC APEX Las Vegas. This assignment is a significant professional milestone for Sanko. She has been a frequent presence at the UFC desk during pre- and postfight shows, and she was also a color commentator for Dana White’s Contender Series.

Sanko has been pushing for a place on the broadcast team alongside the octagon. She was a former MMA fighter who competed at atomweight. After moving on to broadcast work, Invicta FC (all-female) in 2014 she joined the UFC umbrella. She made her UFC debut as a backstage reporter at a UFC on FOX event in 2016.

Sanko, a second-female color commentator is Long’s first UFC event 30 years back in 1993..

UFC Vegas 68 is headlined by a heavyweight fight between one-time title challenger Derrick Lewis and Serghei Spivac.
