“Look, he’s a grown man, and he can do whatever he wants,” – said the head of the organization at a press conference in Las Vegas. “I have always said that more than twelve hours in Las Vegas is not good for John. It’s not the best idea. Jon Jones went through a lot of shit and managed to prove himself. I don’t know whose idea it was to invite him to Vegas for a few days, but it is what it is. There is nothing you can do about it, you just have to put up with it and hope for the best.”
The day before, a video appeared on the network showing how Jones Jones in the company of Jorge Masvidal drinks alcohol. At the same time, two years ago, an American fighter, arrested for beating his own wife, publicly stated that his brain could no longer cope with alcohol, and vowed never to drink.
The video came along with the official announcement of a heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic headlined at UFC 295 in New York on November 11.
