Having traditionally entered the octagon to Nadezhda Kadysheva’s song “Broad River”, already at the thirtieth second of the fight, “Polar Bear” moved the “Black Beast” down with a throw over the thigh, and after several unsuccessful attempts by the opponent to stand up, he chose the moment and went to choke with a hand triangle, forcing the American signal surrender.
In an interview after the fight, Spivak stated that he wants to see a representative of the top five in the division as his next opponent, jokingly challenging the winner of the title fight between Jon Jones and Cyril Gun, who will play for the vacant UFC belt a month later.
In the second most important event of the tournament, American light heavyweight Devin Clark won a unanimous decision against South Korea’s Da Woong Jang.
Among other results of the event, we note the unsuccessful performance of Russian middleweight Denis Tyulyulin, who already in the first round lost by rear naked choke to South Korean Yun Yong Pak.
Early victories were won by Adam Fugitt, Anshul Jubli, Rinya Nakamura, Yun Soon Pak and Tatsuro Taira.
