UFC champion Alex Pereira explained the meaning behind the mysterious numbers

Reigning UFC bantamweight champion, Alex Pereira, has explained where the “30+300=3” equalizer he posted on social media a week ago came from, puzzling his fans.

According to the Brazilian, he saw these numbers in a dream, and shared them with his fans to help him figure it out.

“I’ve dreamt about these numbers twice and I’m puzzled myself,” Pereira told The MAC Life. “I posted this so people could help me figure out this equation. We’re all trying to figure it out.”

“I have a very well developed sixth sense. When they announced the Jon Jones fight at Madison Square Garden, I told the team, ‘I feel like Jon’s not going to fight, something’s going to happen, and I’m going to take his place on the poster.’ I didn’t wish him anything bad, but I had that feeling. I have the same feeling about these numbers, but I haven’t figured out what they mean yet.”

The most popular explanation among fans was that Alex Pereira will take part in the UFC 300 anniversary event on April 13 in Las Vegas and, at 30 pounds, will attempt to win a title in the third weight class against interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.

Alex Pereira and Tom Aspinall last stepped into the octagon on Nov. 11 at UFC 295 in New York City. The Brazilian finished Jiri Prochazka by second-round TKO in the main event to win the vacant UFC light heavyweight championship belt, while the Brit became the interim UFC heavyweight champion by knocking out Russian Sergey Pavlovic at 69 seconds.
